Housing

The University has three residence halls for regular students near the Tegata campus, two for women, one for men. As the number of the dormitory is not so much, a number of off-campus apartment houses, private boarding houses and rooming houses are available. The Student Welfare Section helps students find rooms. Rents in these houses in Akita generally are :

room and board: about 50,000 yen a month (with breakfast and supper), not including electricity charge. No private bathroom.
room without board: about 21,000 yen for a 10㎡ room per month, not including fuel, water and electricity charges. No private bathroom.
apartment: about 30,000 yen upward for a 10㎡ room with a private kitchen, toilet, and bathroom per month, not including utility charges.
